Having just finished reading a history book about Jamestown and all the hullaballoo that occurred there, it was really interesting to read Klein's interpretation of what might have occurred in Roanoke. While the writing and some of the scenarios are simplistic and a little unbelievable, this was a very enjoyable and fun read. Klein captured the heart of the time, while creating a character that evolved and grew into a woman that the reader is proud of.
