Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins Well...this was good, but not as good as I had hoped. A cute love story, but I got fed up with the ending. I really couldn't like the love interest, Etienne. I kept thinking about his girlfriend, Ellie, and feeling really sorry for her. And Anna...I almost jumped up and did a happy dance when she FINALLY realized, about five pages from the end, that she was being(and had been for most of the book) extraordinarily selfish. YOU ARE IN PARIS, MY GIRL. MOST OF US WOULD GIVE AN ARM AND A LEG TO BE IN YOUR PLACE. STOP WITH THE WHINING.
I found myself not enjoying taking this journey with Anna and Etienne at times, and having to force myself to keep reading. Some of the situations and dialogue attempted to be funny, but just fell short for me. Maybe I was just comparing it to Jody Gehrman.
Did like the setting (of course).
